Einstein actually believed that everyone is born genius. But if we judge a fish by its ability to climb trees, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. When we think of the word genius, we get an image of a nerdy, spectacle wearing guy with amazing intelligence. But this definition of genius is totally wrong. A genius as defined formally is "an individual with exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability." Thus, intelligence is same as creative power like dancing, writing, drawing and anything from making good food to styling hair well enough. Despite the societal norms of accepting an individual to qualify as a genius, every individual is good enough in some or the other field which can be as unique as he wants. Something he is confident enough about and actually enjoys doing it. Any skill – knowledge or art can never be pasted upon someone. A person must figure out for himself what his interest is, not what his parents or the society says. Discovering his interest and then starting to explore the field is where the mind starts blossoming. He actually enjoys his work and has a keen interest in learning more and keeps growing. This is the part where material things, but nonetheless important like success, recognition and money starts flowing. One may not be aware of his purpose until he actually listens to himself and starts understanding himself and start exploring his interests. This may be difficult, but if you figure this. Your life is sorted. In this fast moving world, with its never ending competitions one really needs to love what he do to willingly give his hundred percent to survive.
That comes only when he enjoys what he does. You may be at a point in your life where you can't change careers or still haven't figured what "your genius" is, then focus, start exploring yourself. Try and give some free time to that aspect and you actually won't mind because you will enjoy doing anything regarding "your thing". And in time, when you become sure enough, you should follow your path. Things may seem a little tough in the beginning but it will all be worth it in the end.
