I’M THE BEST

We’re experts at setting goals. “Today I will do 12 different tasks.” Isn’t this what we tell ourselves in big bold letters every time we have a deadline or an important schedule lined up? But then why at the end of the month, we find ourselves staring at the abandoned work which seems like a humongous task to complete at the twelfth hour? And that moment comes, when we forget those firm and unswerving promises we made to ourselves. This sluggish and slothful behaviour blocks the ultimate path to success. This is where we need to redefine ourselves. We need to eliminate every distraction and become qualified enough to say I’M THE BEST.

Let’s approach this topic with a wider view. One of the most common queries of a working man is- when will he be smitten with great success, how soon and with how much work. If you do some research, you will find plenty of resources. Some people will call them the only secrets to success you need to know, while others will refer to this information as principles, elements, steps, factors, etc. But the truth is- there’s only one thing you can’t go on without if you want to succeed in any area and that is hard work. Arunima Sinha, the first amputee to climb Mt Everest who also later went on becoming a national Football and Volleyball player sets an established example of how success comes with a price. The price being commitment to your goal, endless cycles of labour and learning how to keep away from diversions. Now you will ask, are there any shortcuts? Nothing in this world comes easily, least of all, success. Therefore, you need to remember that there are no shortcuts to success. Hard work with the perfect addition of smart work is the sure shot way to receive fortune and comfort.

You don’t believe that everything in life is easy but you know that you are prepared to do anything it takes to achieve your goal regardless of what challenge poses. Many people suffer a lack of motivation but just because it is common, it does not mean that you should accept that way of living. You were not put on Earth to live the same life as everybody else. You have your own purpose, your own goals and you will also have your own motivations. Motivation is required through the entire goal process. Motivation rarely happens by accident, and when it does, it rarely lasts for long. No matter what goal you set, never lose sight of your need for motivation as it will be the one thing that will push you through tough times.

Another thing to ponder at is competition. There is so much competition. There are millions and trillions of people trying to do the same exact thing that you want to do. How will you become the best among them? Most of the competition is not hard to surpass. They are dealing with the same existential and practical challenges. Their life isn’t structured for optimal creative expression. They are primary obstacle in the path. Most will quit long before they ever really begin.

Becoming the best involves transcending guidelines and following your instinct. You get to decide the level of impact or the quality of work that you do. You can become the best in the world. It begins with elevated thinking. It is not easy to become the best version of you, but it is definitely worth it. You actually have enough power to change the world and make it a better place and thus leave a visible legacy behind. Start with passion and the rest will follow.
