The tip of the iceberg is the conscious mind, the one we’re working with. What’s hidden is the submerged part which is our subconscious mind, the one which actually makes up the ninety percent of our mental capabilities.
The power of the subconscious mind goes further than you think. It stores each and every detail of the things that happen to you. It is like a huge memory bank with unlimited capacity. By the time we reach the age of 21, it has stored 100 times the information in a standard encyclopaedia. Under hypnosis, older people can recall with perfect clarity, things that have happened decades ago.
Our subconscious mind ensures that we respond exactly the way we are programmed to. Everything we say and do fit a pattern that is consistent with our "master program". It ensures we keep thinking and acting in a way that we previously and mostly have. All of our habits of thinking and acting are stored here.
If you are a positive person, all things tend to turn out positively for you. Be a negative person, and one day things will start unfolding that way. We can make full use of this capability, but we firstly need to figure out our subconscious.
Think of your conscious mind as a gardener and the subconscious mind as the garden, reaping the flowers sown by the former. Good and positive thoughts work as fertilizers and manure, while the counterparts work as pests. It doesn’t matter once in a while, but repetitively feeding the subconscious with bad thoughts starts moulding it that way.
Our subconscious can help us achieve what we really, really desire. The law of attraction works the same way. We think about something in such a positive manner and imagine our futures with it in such a way that it gets registered in our minds and our subconscious. It embeds within us the actual desire to achieve these things and work towards them. We also achieve the desired results. So wake up your subconscious mind, practice positive self talk and visualization. Try doing some meditation and opening up your mind. Recognize what you truly want and repeat it daily. Try making it happen yourself. You can’t do anything that you can’t picture yourself doing. Once you make the picture process conscious and deliberate, you begin to create the self you want to be.
