DOUBT

According to the Hindu Prince Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism, "There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt."

Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills. Doubt means not being certain of particular things. Doubt is the middle ground between blind acceptance and outright refusal to believe. Doubt lends itself to a certain uncomfortable feeling of questioning but is a necessary tool to reach perceived truth and knowledge. Without doubt, one would believe anything he or she is told; it is a natural filter for the information thrust upon us. Doubt is in some ways the opposite of faith.

When one's mind is in consume by doubt he/she cannot think properly. Their mind doesn't function normally they starts to walk away from the truth every step they take will be closer towards the darkness. Instead of searching for true solution their mind is drag toward the false solution. Doubt eventually ruins one's life as well as others who fall under the diameter of doubt. It is often said that one of ego's favourite path of resistance is to fill you with doubt. The idea whether certainty or doubt causes the fulfilment of dreams, goals and the future as questioned many. Certainty creates security and assurances, but is anything certain?

Nothing in the world is ever certain; one's world can be flipped upside down in the matters of days, hours, minutes and even a split of a second. Unlike certainty, doubt allows one to know there is a chance that the odds are against one. Certainty creates safety; however it also causes one to be unprepared for the future. Many might say that certainty creates confidence, but that is the problem: too much confidence. Overconfidence blinds one from the truth, it tricks one to think that something will certainly happen.Doubt blocks the thinking capacity of the one's mind. It changes the way how people see the things. Doubt is the phenomena in which one mind doesn't work properly and cannot see through the actual problem instead it grow strong and strong and makes one feel that the doubt they have towards other is right no matter what.

Don't let your doubts overtake you or your decisions. You may be totally prepared and at the end moment, a shadow of doubt will arise but overlooking this should be done. Often doubt may save us from embarrassing ourselves and saving us from laughs but it also blocks our risk taking and hence many future opportunities. Draw a line as to where you take in notice the doubt. Doubt kills more dreams than failures do. Let your confidence be the sun that washes away this shadow of doubt in you.
